JOB SUMMARY:

Working on products that use micro-electronics in a consumer product application, this position will transition products from Product Development (“Development”) to contract manufacturers.  This position must successfully:

Influence design to increase manufacturability and reliability

Ensure smooth handoff from Development to contract manufacturers

Evaluate and select contract manufactures

Work with Development and contract manufacturers to make improvements to product design for manufacturability, cost, and reliability.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent interpersonal skills are needed to work with, and coordinate efforts between, Development, Marketing, Quality, and suppliers.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are also required. 

Applied knowledge of good manufacturing practices, six sigma and lean manufacturing desired.

Significant international travel will also be required. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

·         B.S. or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field is required

·         Minimum of 10-15 years of related experience with a track record of success

·         Knowledge of good manufacturing practices, six sigma and lean manufacturing desired.

·         Must be able to travel internationally
